Forgettable Friday

This is for all those people who didn't come to the fest at BVIT, Belapur!!!

You guys didn't miss anything.... it was a sham anyways....

Firstly, I had with me a friend of SIES Sion(W) who they had duly invited to attend the fest... everything was going well till the time for paper presentation.... at that time, they informed him that he cannot present because he's from a UG level and we're all from PG levels.... wat the hell is that??? Then why did you invite him personally firstly???

Then, finally when the both of us were done giving our presentations (because we were the only two participants), they voided the entire event because they said that I was the only participant... What the hell was that??? That kid is capable of demolishing anybody with his presentation skills and they said that he was not "competition" and such "competition" will not be considered valid!!!

Secondly, they had clearly mentioned in all the brochures that the number of participants should be "Maximum 2 per team"... which technically means that I can go it alone if I want to... but, NO!!! They didnt let me do that.... they shunted me out coz' I didnt have a partner!!!

Thirdly, their brochures clearly mentioned the dates for finals for all the events as the 24th of February... but, when I call them up now, they say that all the finals had to be held today itself due to some "techincal reasons".... then, why did you write down that you would hold the event finals on Saturday... and, why didn't you inform the parties concerned!!!

What I observed was that they did not have any co-ordination between what was written and what was being done...

For those who missed this fiasco, I'm sorry that you weren't there to observe it first-hand because from the viewer's perspective it was a joke anyways....

All in all, a forgettable friday....

Traditional Day on Wednesday

Okay guys,

Something culturally important is going to happen in our college on Wednesday (Feb 21, 2007)...

We're gonna have a traditional day (something that is supposedly happening for the first time with MCA peopl)

So, the onus is on us to make the thing Rocking.... They've specified some dress codes to me -

Boys - Kurtas and Pajamas etc.
Girls - Sarees etc.

But, Innovations are welcome and I hope to see you all in traditional dresses tomorrow....

Random thoughts on Life

Philosophical post ahead. You have been warned.

What’s the point of living this life anyways? Do we really live or do we just exist? Hurtling down the temporal superhighway (highway of time) at relative (einstein) speeds and suddenly getting off the highway (dying) at unforeseen destinations. In fact are they even destinations if you didn’t want to get off at that point? If we are not the ones who decide our destinations, then why are we on the journey?
Are we all travelers (wanderers if you like)? For I've heard that for a traveler; it is the journey itself that matters more than the destination. So are we unknowingly the ultimate travelers across space-time? Of course Niel Armstrong and the others get to have traveled the most in space but still.

Again choosing your destinations can be dangerous. Here are some typical examples.

Seeta : Walked into earth or got swallowed up or something. So basically chose to be treated like those people who get buried alive or sealed in walls. (check pre-renaissance Europe)

Ram : Took a 'samadhi' in the Sharayu river. Stayed there till ... well considering the divinity of the person, 'God' knows when. (Personally, I think this guy had a DEAD SEXY personality.)

Bheeshma : Poor dude got the worst case of acupuncture. Probably saadhus who sit on beds of nails got the idea from this guy.

Christ : Ouch... I think you know what I mean.

Tukaaraam : Ok this guy was lucky... Garud came and took him off.

Dnyaneshwar : Sealed himself in a room.

These are a few examples. So in short, we are all screwed in life; one way or the other.

No offense is meant to any religion etc. S0 dil pe mat lo!

We Will Rock BVIT

Hey guys,

I hope you guys already know that there's a fest at BVIT this Friday and Saturday. There are a host of events in which we can showcase our prowess which include things from AdMad Show to Debates & Quizzes and also everything inbetween.

Everybody has to pay just Rs.20/- and participate in all the events right to your heart's content!!!

I expect maximum participation from all, and as usual I'll arrange for your attendance with Mamta Madam.....

Guys, we need to win that Best College trophy again!!!

today's mngmnt lecture

after many days v had an inresting lecture. introducing ourselves in different way was very fun.

today's class

today jD or samajkantak as we call him proved that he is a samajkantak.
Cos of him amey , me n aniruddha were caught.The reason was the same as usual...........
he was unable to resist the jokes. Nigel escaped being caught by fraction of a second.
Guys now get ready for more he has in store for us...........except chintu n chachi ofcourse.
The only gift he gave us today was nothin but the ma'm tellin that we guys should never ever sit again 2gether in her lecture.....................................amey , ani wot u say?
